শান্তিনিকেতন ধারায় রবীন্দ্রনৃত্য
A lyrical and expressive dance form rooted in the aesthetic philosophy of Rabindranath Tagore, blending classical grace with the rich emotional world of Rabindra Sangeet.
Rabindra Nritya in Santiniketan Style
Overview
Rabindra Nritya is a Bengali classical dance form developed by Rabindranath Tagore at Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan. It draws from Manipuri classical technique, Bharatanatyam, folk traditions, and Tagore's own creative vision to produce a movement language that is graceful, emotionally resonant, and deeply connected to Rabindra Sangeet. At Nataraj Nritya Kalakendra, students learn foundational postures, hand gestures (mudras), footwork patterns, and abhinaya as used in the Rabindrik tradition. Training covers both group choreography and solo interpretation, with dedicated preparation for examination syllabi and stage performance. Suitable for learners who connect with the literary and emotional depth of Bengali cultural expression.
